I need to replace my Starlink cable, which has become defective after 2 years of operation, reasons unclear. I have a roof-mounted Gen 2 dish, with a 22’ cable run along the roof line, down the side of my cabin, through the side of the house. I’ve noticed that the exposed cable has become pretty weather beaten over time. Would it make sense to run the cable segment on the roofline, through PVC pipe for added protection from the elements? The cabin is at 7000’, with hot summers and cold/windy winters. Has anyone else done this? Caveats?
