Hi Dana, My guess is the network was split through your app. Starlinks router automatically splits between 2.4 and 5ghz networks while only showing a single network when in your Wi-Fi settings. If you turn off the network split you should (in most cases) only see a single named network. Take a look at the picture below for reference:

Hi James, In order to have the account owners name changed you have to submit a ticket in to Starlink. Sounds great Andy! Their app can definitely be finicky. Double check that the Starlink app is up to date and on the latest version, that can make a difference in the functionality and accuracy. Hopefully that does the trick. No problem at all!

Hi James, I am not sure what you are used to for internet providers and the average speeds and prices? Out here in central Alberta, Canada it has been quite robust with over a year of use. Minimal down time and averaging 80-100 mbps download and around 10-15 mbps average upload, ping times 20-40ms. In comparison to many other providers (especially rural) it is an excellent option. And now they have opened up the portability option for taking the system camping or the vacation home, etc.

Hey Norm, I know you can purchase POE injectors which can help over long distances or if you are only running a Cat cable from a non POE network switch. As long as you have somewhere to power up such a device off of your AUX port (Gen 1) at a point between your house and the device you are trying add to the network. I am not familiar with the eero technology myself but have heard good things about the products. I may not have the total picture of your setup but I hope that is helpful in some way. Does anyone else have thoughts on Norms questions?

That’s great! Even with older repeater equipment still pulling in decent speeds. Thanks for the update on V2.0 from what I’ve heard seems to be pretty comparable to the first gen in performance. We will see what happens when the satellites start to fill up, but so far so good! How long did you have to wait for your system? Some people are over a year long wait time.

Hi galadhlinn. Those latency times seem pretty good. The best we have seen for latency with the 1st Gen is around the 40ms mark. Seems like your average down and up is similar to what we are getting here in Central Alberta atm. Overall quite happy with it. Thanks for your reply.
