I have had Starlink for about 6 months now (what a life saver here in northern Maine).
I can't figure out why my starlink router is broadcasting an SSID called "SP Red Test Only". This is not something I set up, nor can I access or remove it. I decided to contact Starlink support about it today (will update on the response).
Does anyone else have this SSID being broadcast by their Starlink router? Anyone know what this is?
SP RED TEST ONLY is not a wireless network is a testing network that is only for the router only so that means if you try to hack it or connect it you will be redirected to the main wireless network so there for no issue or anything detected if you see someone on that network then you can ban them aka kick them off your network if they come back then update your security to WPA2-Enterprise witch allows you to have an Username and Pasword dont use the same password as your own wireless network SSID you need to set a new pasword dont write it down I mean you can but I am not recommending it just leave it in your phone or setup a password so google can secure it. 2nd thing to help is setting up notifications if you not going to setup notifications then skip this so the reason why to setup notifications is that to detect any devices that has connect on your network now if you or someone wifi has been hacked before then this is the time to setup 2 step verification so your account doesn't get hacked also setup a person to moderate your internet that will help your wifi alot. If you need help contact support. 3rd thing is that if you have not been setting up a security for your wifi router witch makes your wifi way faster and securer now this what I would recommend and the 2nd one because you have secured your WiFi and account all in 1 so yes that's all I have to say. Stay safe everyone :)
