Got my ethernet adapter a week or so ago. It works absolutely marvelous for a wifi signal..........no probs there at all. It will not power up the ethernet no matter what I do. I've tried different cat cables, I've tried to power up in different orders. (placing adapter in before powering up, and after powering up)..........I've tried stowing, unstowing........you name it. An employee of mine from work borrowed me their new adapter(they just got it and haven't tried it)...............same issue. It just will not power up the ethernet end of the adapter.................any ideas, folks???
p.s- I tried the ethernet for my Eero and tried three different laptops and an android box..............no power to any.
It's Possible To Beat Elden Ring As A Pacifist
With people constantly attempting to find hands-off techniques at Elden Ring, it changed into most effective a remember till a person should discern out a way to reach the quit of the game without fighting anything specially.
In his maximum current video, Iron Pineapple -- who runs an exquisite YouTube channel that in particular makes a speciality of Souls and Souls-like games--walked each person via his try and beat Elden Ring as the pacifist. Even though the system subsequently gets a bit complicated due to the speedrun problems and clever build synergies, Iron Pineapple has never damaged one simple rule: Avoid at once damage to enemies and managers alike.
"I suppose that the complete occasion took round forty five hours," Iron Pineapple informed MMOexp via email. "Most of it turned into spent strolling around and prepping to head on the street, and I only were given caught on some bosses."
For folks who are contemplating turning into Elden Ring pacifists obtainable The recreation provides all of the equipment needed to begin your journey. Iron Pineapple turned into to start with a Prophet magnificence due to its recuperation homes and decided to apply an item known as the Fanged Imp Ashes as his reward object. His complete method turned into to utilize the game's NPC summons, and act as an extra class of guide. When the summons do all the damage, Iron Pineapple's aim changed into to buff and heal them accordingly.
As proven inside the video under Iron Pineapple's adventure led him to numerous lifeless ends, some of which took him down avenues that proved to be unproductive.
The Godskin Duo in Crumbling Faram Azula gave even his leveled-up Ash problem, for example, Iron Pineapple decided it changed into time to summon one of the greatest summons in the sport: Black Knife Tiche. The most effective problem is that he might need to finish Ranni the Witch's quest line to get Tiche's ashes. It wasn't until jumping thru its numerous hoops and getting to the boss that unlocked Tiche that Iron Pineapple realized he couldn't draw help, preventing him from getting Tiche making the complete tour ineffective.
"I possibly spent the longest time with the Godskin Duo," Iron Pineapple declared. "For some time I believed that if I healed effectively sufficient and turned into fortunate in phrases of assault patterns, then I could get it completed. Of direction, I in the end took the torch and insomnia as a substitute."
Unsurprisingly, Iron Pineapple also used the Mimic Tear, which acts like a duplicate of your character. It can be used as a stand-on my own summoner as it is the maximum versatile of Elden Ring's summons after its nerf in the 1.03 patch. Iron Pineapple spent a lot of his pacifist run seeking out other ways to cause harm, but while the moment got here to shove it turned into impossible no longer to be aware of the functionality to design a custom sidekick. As such, he resorted to the use of the Mimic Tear to defeat many of the tough, end-game bosses.
"I had a sense that the Mimic become going to be extraordinarily sturdy proper from the start, that's why I took the deliberate choice to no longer to play it for the sake of variety," Iron Pineapple said. "It changed into pretty fun to show the diverse niches and strengths of a number of the summons which are available in the sport, and to treat demanding situations like puzzles to clear up rather than truely prevailing through easy stats. Therefore, in the long run, I was a touch disappointed inside the manner that the Mimic nonetheless is in spite of the changes."
Iron Pineapple's peace-loving run is yet some other instance of the ways Elden Ring retains the strategic openness of its Souls predecessors. With expert knowledge of the tools, strategies and resources to your disposal it's miles possible to win the sport by using almost every method in the book. There's a hazard that you'll hit an obstacle there and then. Iron Pineapple sure did. If there may be a lesson to dispose of from a conventional Elden Ring playthrough, it is that everything may be conquer through being a chunk stubborn.Remember to stay tuned to MMOexp.com for all the latest news!
Same problem for me, the ethernet adapter has been functioning for 2 months, and now does work, and Starlink support is not very reactive. Should I ask for a router + adapter replacement ?
You've put in significant effort to resolve the ethernet adapter issue. If the problem persists across multiple devices and after trying different adapters, I recommend checking the power source, verifying compatibility, updating firmware or drivers, and contacting the manufacturer's support for further assistance.
You don't need the router or adapter. Just plug the ethernet cable into the power supply (provided with the kit) and direct to the gateway (Eero in my case). You don't get the full functionality of the App, but there's less to fuss with. I ran an extension from the power supply into the living room (repurposed and configured for RJ-45 ethernet Dishy 1 cable). The neat thing is the dish and power supply can get very cold without a problem. My garage drops below freezing in the winter. The router doesn't like the cold. If backup power is a concern, then a small UPS with a heater plugged into the non UPS port will keep everything warm enough until the generator kicks in. Size the UPS appropriately if it takes a while to get power going. Mine switches over in 7 seconds so no issue with a small UPS. UPS prevents Dishy reboot, connection, etc. Thermostat outlet to power a 80-150 watt heater is found at any Home Depot etc. I use a DIN rail heater available on Amazon.
I just got an ethernet adapter in the mail.
I didn't want to order one at first, because I think the price is outrageous (even a $20 raspberry pi has a built-in RJ-45 port) and the device should have come with one built in, just like any decent network equipment.
It seems to work as the leds on my switch start blinking when I plug in the appropriate cable.
The lack of documentation is another hurdle with this product, but I'll figure it out, I guess
Having same / similar problem to many of you... received Gen 2 Starlink (surprise - no ethernet port!)... bought the adapater, and ethernet end of adapter was dead. Spent hours researching / troubleshooting to no avail. Submitted help tickets and finally got Starlink to agree to replace the adapter... BUT that shipment has been in "preparation" for 2 months... two weeks ago they said the DHL label had been created and it was just awaiting pickup - but it still has not shipped (no tracking #).
In my desperation, I bought another ethernet adapter via Amazon for $75 (incl. shipping / fees to Chile) and it arrived in 5 days. Tried connecting it, and had the same exact problem as the first - no power to the ethernet end of adapter. Tried all the troubleshooting steps again (factory reset, stow / unstow, changing cables, using bypass mode, praying and lighting candles, etc etc) - to no avail.
After trying second adapter with same exact problem of ethernet end being totally dead (but Starlink wireless working without a problem), I suspect it's a faulty router. Just wrote to Starlink to explain / request replacement router - we'll see how they respond. It's maddening because I've had this system for about 3 months now and am unable to use it as intended since I require a hardwired connection to a WAN port on a switch.
Like others, I am on my third Ethernet adapter and third router and still no ethernet now for 5 weeks. Another non-refurbished router is planned to be shipped someday…
I decided not to wait for router and use a cheap Wi-Fi extender ‘backwards’ to provide Ethernet to my Google Wi-Fi mesh from StarLink Wi-Fi. Works great. Bummed that it took me so long to think of it. Maybe StarLink will figure out the Ethernet issue someday, but I can’t wait for that. Also planning to add a dual-WAN router to plug the StarLink drop outs using a cellular modem.
Well it looks like Starlink is having some equipment problems:( Since there sending out hardware to try and fix the issue this might be a bigger then we realize, you would hope that it is software related, that way an update would be the fix. Thank you for keeping us posted!
Same situation still here. I have a ”refurbished“ router coming to me on Wednesday, hopefully that fixes my issues.
Dean,
I’m in the same boat. I had my mesh system working perfectly for about a week when I moved the dish slightly in my yard. I plugged everything back in as it was and now I can only get the SL WiFi running. Iv tried every reboot option I can think of/read about, 3 different ethernet adapters did not fix the issue and I even tried putting the SL router in bypass (which when I tried while my mesh worked it would turn the SL WiFi off and would not send the signal to my mesh system). In my opinion it seems the router is not turning on/allowing the ethernet adapter to work properly. SL technical support is an absolute joke as I’m two days into waiting for a reply to my ticket. Please continue to update us on your progress.
Yeah Starlink‘s ticket system was heavily delayed for awhile, seems like there getting quicker to answer. Guess will see if 3 times is the charm…I’ll let you know if we hear of others that have any issues with there adapters.
Thanks, I originally sent in a ticket before I tried the second adapter...........It went unanswered. After I sent the second ticket explaining that I had tried a second adapter, support told me that they are deleting my second ticket, and are sending me another adapter...........lol............I guess I'll wait and try the third, then reassess.
Hello Dean, welcome to the community! From what you have said it sounds like you’ve done all the troubleshooting possible, including trying a 2nd Ethernet adapter. With everything being done it would seem that your router might be faulty to me, especially if your friends Ethernet adapter works fine in his network. I recommend submitting a ticket to Starlink, sending in the WIFI debug data found in the app. Maybe someone else in the community has something else you could try…
