Hello all, a long story short, We live in a remote rural area in the southern coast of Mexico. I persuaded my friend to get the starlink antenna. We were so happy when we did our first speed test we got over 200 mbps.
I told my friend that it is normal to get a few seconds of downtime once in a while. But as soon as we started to make use of the internet we started to get randomly intermittent internet service and never resumed to the previous steady speed before the failure until the starlink antenna gets restarted manually.
I told my friend to submit a report via the app but days later he got an answer that the problem was on his side.
Have any of you have experienced this problem? How did you fix it?
Thank you in advanced for any help.

I had this exact issue last winter! The "intermittent connection until reboot" problem is usually caused by one of three things:
First, check for any obstructions that might have developed - even partial tree coverage can cause this as leaves/branches grow. Use the obstruction viewer in the Starlink app to confirm.
Second, it could be firmware related. Sometimes after updates, Dishy gets a bit confused. After rebooting, make sure you're on the latest firmware version in the app.
Third, power issues are common culprits. I solved mine by connecting Dishy to a small UPS (uninterruptible power supply) to provide clean, stable power. Even minor voltage fluctuations can trigger these symptoms.
If it keeps happening, try a full factory reset through the app, but that's usually a last resort. Hope this helps!
That sounds like an incredible upgrade for a remote area! Starlink’s speed is impressive, but intermittent issues can be frustrating. You might want to check for obstructions, overheating, or firmware updates that could be affecting performance. Just like in embroidery digitizing logo design, where precision and optimization ensure smooth stitching, maintaining your Starlink setup properly ensures stable connectivity. A routine reboot helps, but troubleshooting signal interference and hardware placement might provide a long-term fix. Hope you find a solution soon!
I have gone through this situation too as Alex Gilbert. Examine outages and obstruction information present in the Starlink application. The cable connections must be properly secured and free from damage. A full power cycle of both the router and dish unit should be attempted for possible improvement. Software that has not been updated may create various system problems. The persistence of technical issues may require you to use write my dissertation online for me services to manage troubleshooting time or directly contact Starlink support.
Hi. I like to let you all know that we have solved the problem. After having done all the tests without finding the fault, we finally decided to remove the starlink wifi router and connected the network cable directly to our own router. Problem solved. The internet is stable now (with the usual brief signal outages from satellites).
