Hi all, I'm new to the forum. Over the past two days our Starlink internet has not been functioning properly. We have gen 2 mounted to our roof without any obstruction and use the ethernet adapter to connect to an unmanaged switch, which connects to our wireless access points and various plugs around the house. As of two days ago, wifi (both from the Starlink router itself or our WAPs) doesn't work properly for most devices (including iPhone, iPad, android phone, iMac) but seems to work okay to a MacBook Pro, oddly enough. I also get mostly consistent internet with good speed to my iMac, which is connected via the ethernet. I've restarted every device from the Starlink hardware (hard reset) to my switch, WAPs, and individual devices. The Starlink app says "online" and doesn't show outages or obstruction, it just doesn't result in my phone having an internet connection and my wifi setting on my iPhone usually say "no internet connection" under the wifi network in use. If it were just my wifi from the 3rd party equipment I'd assume it's something with that setup, but that shouldn't impact the wifi from the Starlink router itself, which is just as problematic. So to my limited knowledge of these things, it seems like we are getting good data to the dish but having issues with getting it to most devices. Does that suggest anything to trouble shoot? I'm still waiting on a response from Starlink support. THANKS!!

It sounds like you've already taken some good troubleshooting steps. Since your Starlink connection seems to be working fine when connected directly via Ethernet to your iMac, but not when using Wi-Fi with other devices, it's possible there could be an issue with the Wi-Fi portion of your Starlink router or with the settings/configuration.
Here are a few additional steps you can try:
Check Wi-Fi Settings: Ensure that the Wi-Fi settings on your Starlink router are configured correctly. Double-check the Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password. You might want to try changing the Wi-Fi channel to see if that helps with connectivity.
Reset Wi-Fi Settings: Sometimes resetting the Wi-Fi settings on the router can help resolve issues. There should be a reset button on the router that you can press and hold for a few seconds to reset the Wi-Fi settings to default. We have a similar problem in the uvtreat clinic with the use of Starlink in the first month.
Update Router Firmware: Make sure your Starlink router's firmware is up to date. Sometimes firmware updates can fix bugs and improve performance.
Factory Reset: If none of the above steps work, you could try doing a factory reset on your Starlink router. Keep in mind that this will reset all settings to default, so you'll need to reconfigure everything afterward.
Contact Starlink Support: Since you're still waiting for a response from Starlink support, it's a good idea to keep following up with them. They may have additional troubleshooting steps or insights based on your specific setup.
In the meantime, since you mentioned that your MacBook Pro seems to be working fine with the Wi-Fi, you could try comparing its Wi-Fi settings with those of your other devices to see if there are any differences that might be causing the issue. Additionally, you could try connecting one of the problematic devices directly to the Starlink router via Ethernet to see if it's a Wi-Fi-specific issue or if there's a broader connectivity issue with those devices.
Hopefully, one of these steps will help resolve the issue, but if not, Starlink support should be able to assist you further.

Hi Rob, welcome to the community!
Starlink routers don’t like to play nice with other routers from my experience. Have you seen a message pop up once in a while in the app saying “Non Starlink WiFi Router” with it connected through the Ethernet adapter? It seems to work for the most part with other equipment in the line up, but once in a while seems to fight back and kick the non Starlink brand routers or other wireless equipment from the network. I know it’s simple but a power cycle on your Starlink router seems to clear up the confusion. And in fact I’ve seen a lot of people suggesting a daily power cycle on the Starlink router to keep things running at peak performance. As far as it being selective with different devices that’s a tough one to narrow down especially if it’s not consistent. I’m assuming you have good Wi-Fi coverage in all areas of your house?
