sorry if this has been asked before , i am trying to send wifi from my starlink to my neighbor next door a simple wifi booster will not work so i have buried 400ft of ethernet line to the location. there is internet coming through the cable as it is working fine hardwired into the laptop. i have a dlink router here trying to produce wifi and it will not work. any help would be greatly appreciated. as soon as i plug in the ethernet cable to router it will not show internet on the router

You’re welcome! Hmmm that is odd, I’m surprised it’s working at that distance. If it’s working hardwired then the next step would be changing some settings in the D-Link router and try that 1st. Shortening the cable certainly wouldn’t hurt if it’s still not working. Have you adjusted any settings on the D-Link yet?
Hi Kyle, Usually you don’t want to go any more than 328’ with cat cabling, anything beyond the 328’ can give you significant signal degradation and very intermittent internet up time (if any). If it is under that 328’ number then it may be in the D-Link router in which case you will have to change some settings in the D-Link router to get it to extend your network and provide Wi-Fi to your neighbour (I can provide you a YouTube link if that’s the case)
