Worked fine for a month. Lost connectivity, unable to rejoin. Tried resetting to factory Starlink router to try reinstall. Unable to get Starlink out of router bypass mode with reset to attempt reinstall. Any ideas?
Hello Christopher, welcome to the community! make sure your logged into your account on the app? If your not logged in you can’t control your router functions. The Starlink app is becoming a bit notorious for being glitchy…especially with the router and Dishy controls. My first go to would be to make sure the app has been updated…uninstalling and reinstalling it, this has helped fix a couple router controller issues inside the app. When you reset the router? Was it through the app or was it a factory reset?(unplugging and plugging in 3 times quickly) Hope this helps:)
Thanks Kelly. I was definitely having problems resetting the router in the app. I was trying factory reset several times but it wouldn't reset the router bypass mode. Finally, was able to reset and reconfigure the router on the Orbi side and now I'm connected. I'm bypassing to an Orbi router which provides excellent reception throughout my house. I will check for updates on the app. I guess my concern is how I lost connectivity in the first place, (no power outages) and why factory reset didn't reset router bypass mode. And why it was so difficult to reestablish connectivity and get up and running. Initial bypass setup to the Orbi was seamless, not sure why reconfiguring was so difficult. I appreciate your prompt response, thanks Kelly.
