Hello
New here so any help is appreciated. I recently installed our gen 2 Starlink in an unexpectedly complicated install. Due to obstructions around the house, I had to install the dish 20' up on a pole mount about 500' from the house. I spliced the 150' and 75' Starlink cables together with a grounded ethernet hub and placed the router in the barn. Using the ethernet adapter, i am going to 2 TP Link CPE710 units as an wireless bridge from the barn to the house, where the LAN is being handled by a separate ASUS router.
If I'm in the barn on the Starlink app, i'm seeing network speed of 100-150 down, 10-15 up and ping of 40-100 ms. All good. From the desktop in the house, I'm seeing the same download speed, but ping is up to 200-250 ms and upload speed is 0.10-0.15 mbps.
I've tested the speed between the two dishes on the bridge and all is good. Ping to either from the desktop in the house is less than 1 ms. Firmware on the Asus is up to date and all cabling has been replaced with shielded CAT6.
Anyone have a similar setup or solved a similar issue?
Thank you
I would say for a start that you are 75' over length in the cable, maximum design limit (obviously) is 150'
