Recently received our Starlink on Best Effort as our area does not yet have full coverage. However, early results are fantastic compared to our Via Sat internet. I purchased 2 Starlink Mesh Nodes - assuming these are designed to work best with the other Starlink HW. I am seeing that devices are not switching between the main router and mesh nodes. Sometimes they do not switch at all until you disconnect and reconnect to wifi. Other times they will finally connect after several minutes.
My experience with other Mesh systems is that they switch quickly as you move around your house and have a setting to enable fast switching.
I do not see any settings for the Nodes. Thank you for assistance.
Hey, thank you!

Hi Scott, Glad to hear! Most internet systems are better than Viasat 😁 I have setup a few of these mesh nodes and you are right they should switch quickly between devices if working correctly. Have seen one case and heard of many cases similar to yours. My guess is faulty hardware, and I would contact Starlink as they more than likely will send you replacements. The main thing you have to check first is that you have strong signals between your main router and the nodes (which I’m sure you have) because that can cause similar issues to what you have described.
