Can't get generic router to work

I'd been using my RV router (gen 2, rectangular dish) and Starlink ethernet adapter with a generic router for a while and it suddenly stopped working. I was NOT using bypass mode as I wanted both routers enabled for best coverage. Also, my Sonos system will only work with my older 2.4Ghz router.

I suspected that my old router was shot so bought a new one. No go! I tested the ethernet adapter with a laptop and that works fine. Any idea what could be happening?

Update. Next day the generic router is working (at least the 2.4 Ghz side) and delivering speeds that I haven't seen before. Hopefully this will continue. If anyone has a possible explanation I'd love to hear it. :)

That’s an interesting one Mike. Starlink routers don’t like to play nice with other routers from my experience. I have tried something similar to what you are doing and get a message pop up once in a while in the app saying “Non Starlink WiFi Router” with it connected through the Ethernet adapter. It seems to work for the most part but once in a while fights back and kicks the non Starlink brand router from the network. Not sure there is a whole lot you can do other than the odd reboot when it comes to your setup. I‘ll share if I learn more.
