Has anyone else noticed the speed has been drastically reduced since the implemented their FAP (fair act policy). I used to get well over 150mps and now I am down to about 40-5mps.
Not where we are in the sticks. Check out starlink.sx and see what POP (green triangle Backbone entry point) is associated with your location running speedtest.net If it is cross country vs.a purple one much closer, put in a trouble ticket telling Starlink to move your POP. If you use a VPN, that's different as you may want to use a location at the green POP. Having your POP nearest reduces hops and therefore lag. I do note an average speed increase going from a Gen 1 to High Performance while paying the sme monthly price. That is likely due to seeing more satellites at the same time.
Hi Bob,That does seem to be the case for a lot of people. Only so much bandwidth to share globally and more and more new customers each day it’s hard for them keep up with the demand. Hopefully they can find a better balance so people like yourself aren’t experiencing drastic drops in overall speeds.
